Job Summary

Chandi Renovations Inc. is seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, taping joints, and applying successive coats of compound to ensure a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install drywall sheets and secure them to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Estimate costs and materials for drywall installation projects.
Work Environment

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying locations. You will be exposed to dusty and noisy conditions, and will need to work outdoors on occasion.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drywall installation.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods.
  • Work Conditions: Physically demanding, repetitive tasks, and work under pressure.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, flexibility, and reliability.
Working Conditions

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work in a team environment with 1 to 2 people. You will be required to own a vehicle for transportation to various job sites.

Language and Work Hours

The primary language of work is English, and you will work 30 to 44 hours per week.
