About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at TRIO DRYWALL AND PAINT INC. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Experience: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field, or equivalent experience.
  • Work Site Environment: The successful candidate will work in a dusty environment and be required to work in various locations, including commercial and residential settings.
  • Work Setting: The Drywall Installation Specialist will work in a variety of settings, including commercial and residential locations, and will be required to work in employer's/client's home.
  • Tasks: The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing apprentices, applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints, cleaning and preparing surfaces, cutting and installing metal corner beads, filling joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound, measuring, cutting, fitting and installing drywall sheets, positioning and securing sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists, cutting openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts and electrical outlets, installing corner beads and wire mesh around beams, installing exterior and interior steel studs, and installing metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings.

  • Work Term: The successful candidate will be required to work on a permanent basis.
  • Work Language: English is the primary language required for this role.
  • Hours: The successful candidate will be required to work 30 to 40 hours per week.
