Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Strategic Workforce Optimization and Business Improvement to lead our retail workforce planning and business optimization efforts.

This role requires a seasoned professional with expertise in labor strategy, workforce planning, and financial analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive labor strategies that drive business results while ensuring exceptional client and employee experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Labor Strategy Development:
  • Develop and execute long-term staffing and labor strategies to drive business success.
  • Manage payroll budgets and maintain optimal store capacity to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives aligned with business goals.
  • Lead budget cycles and identify opportunities for store optimization.
  • Implement advanced scheduling algorithms to balance client and employee needs.
  • Design retail incentives to boost sales and productivity.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making:
  • Analyze complex data sets to generate insights for strategic decisions and operational performance.
  • Establish benchmarks and targets for staffing and payroll.
  • Oversee payroll budget management and optimize reporting tools.
  • Enhance retail reporting for senior leadership and maintain dashboard insights.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 Years of Experience: In a senior managerial role within a high-volume, complex retail environment.
  • Retail Finance Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years in labor strategy, workforce planning, and/or field experience.
  • Advanced Expertise: In Excel, with proven ability to develop budget models and detailed analysis from scratch.
  • Team Leadership: Experienced in leading and developing teams of analysts, with a focus on strategic vision and business acumen.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively to a diverse audience throughout all levels of the organization.

$110,000 - $140,000 per year, based on location and experience
