WoodGreen is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Recruitment Coordinator to join our People & Culture team. As a key member of our recruitment team, you will play a critical role in shaping the employee experience and fostering a dynamic and inclusive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance to hiring managers on all aspects of recruitment efforts, ensuring a seamless and efficient process.
  • Review and update job descriptions to ensure they are current and relevant, making recommendations for improvements to meet operational needs.
  • Draft and post job advertisements on relevant job boards and resources, ensuring a diverse and qualified candidate pool.
  • Conduct research and outreach to identify effective advertising channels and strategies.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to develop and implement effective interview processes, ensuring the selection of top talent.
  • Coordinate interviews, schedule interview sessions, and provide support to hiring panels.
  • Conduct background checks and reference checks for selected candidates.
  • Assist with the onboarding and orientation of new staff, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles.
  • Participate in recruitment activities, including job fairs and presentations, as required.
  • Support the maintenance of the applicant tracking system database.
  • Ensure recruitment activities align with organizational requirements, including the Collective Agreement and relevant legislation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • CHRP certification considered an asset.
  • 1-3 years of experience in recruitment, preferably in a unionized environment.
  • Experience in a not-for-profit or social services agency considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in using and customizing applicant tracking systems, with experience in JazzHR an asset.
  • Knowledge of employment, labour, human rights, and other applicable statutes and legislation.
  • Strong time management, organization, and coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to analyze problems and interpret data to identify key information and issues.
  • Ability to coach, support, and guide others.
  • Proven ability to work calmly under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite.
