Chief Financial Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Administrator to join our team in the Township of Hamilton - Ontario. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field and have thorough knowledge of financial, purchasing, accounting and auditing principles and practices.
Job Summary:
- Responsible for the day-to-day administration of accounting, accounts receivable and payable, and reserves management
- Administer banking services, cash-flow monitoring, and generate internal & external financial reports
- Serve as payroll supervisor and process payroll when required
- Oversee Asset Management Plan and related reporting
- Coordinate month end reconciliations and audit requirements, including interim and year-end
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A degree from a recognized university in Business, Finance, Accounting or other related discipline
- Thorough knowledge of financial, purchasing, accounting and auditing principles and practices
- Demonstrated ability in understanding best practices in financial management and controls
- Experience in Municipal sector would be an asset
- Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and database applications) and Great Plains
- Class G driver's license in good standing, access to a reliable vehicle for use on Township business, and provision of a current acceptable driver's abstract
Salary:$85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience
