Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified instructor to teach a practical introduction to experimentation in cell and molecular biology. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading lab modules that introduce students to concepts and techniques in solution preparation, microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, microscopy, data analysis, and science communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver lectures and lab sessions
  • Develop and implement lab modules and assessments
  • Provide guidance and support to students
  • Collaborate with instructors and staff to ensure a high-quality learning experience

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology or a related field
  • Experience in teaching and laboratory instruction
  • Strong knowledge of cell and molecular biology concepts and techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a laboratory instructor
  • Strong background in biochemistry, microbiology, and molecular biology
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position, with duties performed in person at the University of Toronto Scarborough campus.
