Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and independent postdoctoral research fellow to join our team in the Winer Lab at UHN.

Research Focus

The Winer lab at UHN investigates the role of the immune system in chronic inflammation and insulin resistance during aging. Our research focuses on elucidating mechanisms by which immune cells and immune molecules influence inflammation in tissues. We use immunology, molecular biology, and mouse models to advance our understanding of these complex biological processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent research projects in the area of immunology and inflammation
  • Develop and implement novel experimental approaches to study immune cell function and inflammation
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Winer lab and other research groups to advance our understanding of immune-mediated inflammation
  • Present research findings at national and international conferences and publish research in high-impact journals
  • Train and mentor graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in the lab

Qualifications

  • PhD or MD in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or a related field
  • Expertise in immunology, molecular biology, and mouse models
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
