**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Genomics Laboratory Specialist to join our team at the Princess Margaret Genomics Centre. As a key member of our lab team, you will be responsible for performing genomics library preparation, sample QC, and data entry into our LIMS system.

**Responsibilities**

  • Perform genomics library preparation (RNA, whole genome, exome) using standard molecular biology techniques
  • Conduct quality control checks on input materials, libraries, and final products
  • Onboard samples from clients, communicate with them, and ensure timely delivery of results
  • Produce RNA-seq libraries, whole genome libraries, and exome libraries as required
  • Construct DNA epigenetic profiling libraries using ATAC and methylation workflows
  • Perform input sample QC using BioAnalyzer, Nanodrop, and fluorimetry
  • Verify library quality using BioAnalyzer
  • Enter sample and library information into our LIMS system

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's degree in Genomics, Molecular Biology, or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in a laboratory setting, with expertise in standard molecular biology techniques
  • Proficiency in using LIMS systems and Illumina DNA sequencing library construction workflows an asset
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to work independently under deadlines
