Job Description

Crawford & Company is seeking a Senior Liability Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle claims in commercial auto and property claims handling.

About the Job

This role involves investigating, collecting, and analyzing claims information, accurately recording, reporting, and presenting files, evaluating coverage, liability, and quantum, maintaining accurate billing and time and expense records, negotiating, settling, and finalizing claims, and working with managers to maintain client relations.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 6 years of technical claims handling experience in commercial auto and property claims handling.
  • Commercial liability claims experience is required.
  • Post-secondary education in an insurance-related field is considered an asset.
  • Experience in multiline claims, complex claim handling, legal proceedings, and litigation management.
  • CIP designation or working towards CIP designation is required.
  • Independent Adjuster Licensed with the ability to maintain a full adjusting license in your home province. Multiple provincial licenses are preferred.
  • Strong computer and reporting skills, including Office 365 and Windows 10.
  • A team player with outstanding customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical abilities.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong PC skills, including application-based skills.
  • Complete continuing education courses as required by Crawford and Company, province, or professional trade association.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is between $90,000 and $120,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
