Executive Sous Chef

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to lead our new Kitchen Team, responsible for processing, prepping, cooking, plating, and packaging Ready to Eat products for a direct to consumer delivery business.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the new Kitchen Team to ensure efficient production, maintaining high-quality products and meeting delivery deadlines.
- Manage the Kitchen's labour, grocery, and supplies budget, ensuring optimal performance under a weekly rotating menu schedule.
- Ensure all product quality, taste, presentation, and order fulfillment meet CFIA standards within a registered facility.
- Maintain a safe and healthy kitchen environment, adhering to provincial and federal health and safety codes.
- Collaborate with Purchasing and Warehouse teams to source quality ingredients, manage inventory, and report accurate usage.
- Continuously improve processes, working with other departments to execute facility-wide initiatives.
- Culinary Diploma or Red Seal certification.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial kitchen management, supervising productivity, efficiency, and process improvement.
- 5+ years of experience liaising with purchasing, quality assurance, and human resource departments.
- Problem-solving mentality, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences and relay information clearly.
- Ability to multitask, maintain efficiency, and deliver results on time.
- Low ego, with a willingness to receive feedback and focus on achieving the best outcome.
