About the Opportunity

The City of St. John's is seeking a skilled instructor to lead adult photography programs. As a member of our Community Services team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering photography skills to adults in a group setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver photography programs for adults, incorporating various techniques and skills.
  • Collaborate with the Adult & Seniors Coordinator to ensure program success and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Lead weekly programs, providing guidance and support to participants.
  • Manage program supplies and materials, ensuring a smooth and efficient delivery of services.
  • Monitor attendance and track participant progress.

Requirements

  • Recognized training or experience in photography instruction.
  • Experience teaching photography programs in a group setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with adult populations and adapt to diverse learning styles.
  • Formal education or certification in photography or a related field is an asset.

Additional Requirements

  • A current Criminal Record Screening Certificate and Vulnerable Sector Check are required.
  • The successful applicant will be expected to develop specific program content prior to the start of employment.

Working Conditions
