The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled photography instructor to teach adults in a group setting. The successful candidate will have a strong background in photography and experience in teaching adults. They will be responsible for planning, developing, and delivering photography programs that meet the needs of our diverse community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver photography programs for adults in a group setting
  • Consult with the Community Programs and Services- Adult & Seniors Coordinator to ensure program alignment and quality
  • Perform in a direct leadership capacity in the delivery of weekly programs
  • Request and maintain necessary supplies for the program
  • Compile and monitor attendance

Requirements

  • Recognized training or experience in photography instruction
  • Experience in teaching photography programs in a group setting
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working with adult populations
  • Formal education with diploma/certificate/degree would be an asset

Additional Requirements

  • Successful applicant will be required to obtain a current Criminal Record Screening Certificate & Vulnerable Sector Check (dated within the last six months of the start date)
  • Successful applicant would be expected to have the specific content developed prior to start of employment

Working Conditions

Program Schedule: Wednesday's from 1:30-3:30pm weekly

Period of Employment: September 2023 - June 2024
