Key Responsibilities- Data Engineering: Develop and implement scalable, reliable, and efficient data solutions that achieve specific business needs and initiatives.
- Cloud Solutions: Assist in the design and implementation of cloud solutions, analyzing requirements, developing architecture/design artifacts, and executing strategies to create analytic environments.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to junior data engineers, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and innovation within the team and the organization.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements, provide clean and reliable data, and support advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation and specifications for the implementation of data solutions/pipelines.
- Staying Up-to-Date: Stay abreast of the latest trends, developments, and best practices in data engineering, big data technologies, cloud computing, and related domains, and apply innovative approaches to solve complex data engineering challenges.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a data-intensive related field.
- Experience: Five (5) years' experience as a Data Developer, two (2) of which will have been in a senior role or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Certification: Data Engineering related certification from at least one cloud service provider is an asset (e.g., Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate).
