Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Wholesale Buyer to join our team at Primero Cigar Imports Ltd. As a Wholesale Buyer, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices and terms, and overseeing the distribution of merchandise to our outlets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a network of reliable suppliers to ensure a consistent flow of high-quality merchandise.
  • Negotiate pricing, discounts, and credit terms with suppliers to maximize value for our company.
  • Oversee the distribution of merchandise to our outlets, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our clients, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities for growth, and make recommendations to management accordingly.
  • Select and purchase merchandise for resale, taking into account factors such as quality, price, and demand.
  • Visit trade shows, showrooms, factories, and product design events to stay up-to-date on the latest products and trends.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, colleagues, and clients.
  • Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally, as required.
