Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Wholesale Buyer to join our team at Primero Cigar Imports Ltd. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices and terms, and overseeing the distribution of merchandise to our outlets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement and Sourcing
    • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to meet the needs of our wholesale division
    • Negotiate prices, discounts, and credit terms with suppliers
    • Source high-quality merchandise for resale
  • Inventory Management
    • Oversee the distribution of merchandise to our outlets
    • Monitor inventory levels and adjust procurement strategies accordingly
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to our clients and suppliers
    • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Market Analysis
    • Conduct market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity
    • Use market analysis to inform procurement decisions and optimize our product offerings
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years
  • Experience
    • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, such as procurement, purchasing, or sales
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
