Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Registration Clerk to join our team at the Neuro Clinic. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for scheduling patient appointments, registering patients, and performing various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule patient appointments and follow-up appointments using a computerized scheduling system
  • Register patients upon arrival, ensuring accurate and complete demographic information
  • Perform referral functions, including data entry and processing related paperwork
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and families
  • Perform receptionist and clerical duties, including answering phones and responding to inquiries
  • Maintain accurate records and charts, including data entry and filing documentation
  • Assist with various administrative tasks, including typing and distributing correspondence

Requirements

  • Grade 12, plus two (2) years' recent experience in a healthcare setting
  • Ability to keyboard 45 wpm and knowledge of medical terminology
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Commitment to developing knowledge and understanding of Indigenous-specific anti-racism and cultural safety
