Registration Clerk

BC Children's Hospital is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Registration Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our clinical support team, you will be responsible for scheduling and booking patient appointments, managing patient demographics, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Schedule and book patient appointments using a computerized scheduling system
- Manage patient demographics and ensure accurate and complete information
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families
- Perform receptionist and clerical duties, including answering phones and responding to inquiries
- Assemble and maintain client charts, utilizing appropriate forms and layout
- Maintain accurate records, including data entry and log sheets
- Provide clerical support to the department, including booking meetings and preparing documents
- Grade 12, plus two (2) years' recent experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Ability to keyboard 45 wpm
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to deal with others effectively
- Ability to organize work
- Ability to operate related equipment
