Job Title: Ambulatory Clinics Registration Clerk

BC Women's Hospital & Health Centre is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Ambulatory Clinics Registration Clerk to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Ambulatory Clinics Registration Clerk will be responsible for scheduling and booking patient appointments, registering patients, and performing various administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of our ambulatory clinics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and book patient appointments using a computerized scheduling system
  • Register patients and ensure accurate and complete demographic information
  • Perform referral functions, including data entry and paperwork processing
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including answering phones, responding to inquiries, and preparing documents
Requirements:
  • Grade 12, plus two (2) years' recent experience in a healthcare setting
  • Ability to keyboard 45 wpm and knowledge of medical terminology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada
