Job Title: Ambulatory Clinic Registration Clerk

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Ambulatory Clinic Registration Clerk to join our team at PHSA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth registration process for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Register patients in a computerized scheduling system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Utilize a computerized scheduling system to schedule and book patient appointments, including complex interdisciplinary appointments.
  • Perform receptionist and clerical duties, including answering telephones, responding to inquiries, and greeting patients and families.
  • Assemble and maintain client charts, utilizing appropriate forms and layout in accordance with established procedures.
  • Perform referral functions, including gathering additional/missing information, performing data entry, and receiving and processing related paperwork.
  • Schedule new referrals based on established criteria, working with physicians, clinic nurses, and other allied health professionals.
Requirements:
  • Completion of Grade 12.
  • Two (2) years' recent experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and computerized scheduling systems.
