Staff Attorney Position with Central Alberta Community Legal Clinic

Central Alberta Community Legal Clinic is seeking a Staff Attorney to join our team. This permanent position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced legal environment, providing advice and representation to clients in need.
About the RoleThe Staff Attorney will be responsible for advising clients on their legal rights and matters related to law, as well as pleading cases before courts of law. This role requires strong research skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide legal advice and representation to clients in English
- Plead cases before courts of law, tribunals, and boards
- Research legal precedents and gather evidence
- Negotiate settlements of civil disputes
- Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent
- Membership in a provincial or territorial law society
- Strong computer skills, including MS Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Windows, and Word
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
This role is located at the Central Alberta Community Legal Clinic and involves working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
