Senior Lawyer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Lawyer to join our team at the Central Alberta Community Legal Clinic.

About Us: As a non-profit organization, we provide free legal services to low-income individuals in Central Alberta. Our clinic is dedicated to promoting access to justice and addressing the root causes of poverty.

Job Summary: The Senior Lawyer will be responsible for providing high-quality legal services to clients, including advice, representation, and advocacy. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Provide legal advice and representation to clients on a variety of issues, including family law, employment law, and social assistance;
• Conduct research and gather evidence to support client cases;
• Plead cases before courts and tribunals;
• Negotiate settlements with opposing parties;
• Develop and implement strategies to address systemic barriers and promote access to justice;

• Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent;
