About the Role

The Senate of Canada is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Operations Specialist to join our Human Resources Directorate. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that clients have a positive experience when interacting with our HR Service Centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver highly professional, timely, and first-rate client services in inquiry management and executing HR transactions.
  • Report to the Supervisor, HR Service Centre and Quality Assurance Lead, and work collaboratively with the HR team to achieve our goals.
  • Provide HR support, including managing, analyzing, and processing data and reports, to ensure the smooth operation of our Service Centre.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze and present data, and experience with Unit4 is considered an asset.
  • Operate within a service centre environment, multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary diploma in Human Resources or a related field, or an acceptable combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience responding to HR-related enquiries and providing advice and recommendations to clients.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience providing HR support, including managing, analyzing, and processing data and reports.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and knowledge of the various human resources disciplines and how they interrelate.
