Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced British Columbia Land Surveyor to join our team as a Project Manager at GeoVerra. As a key member of our BC Geomatics team, you will be responsible for leading project teams to deliver quality work on time and on budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project teams to deliver quality work on time and on budget.
  • Monitor project and team performance, forecasting project outcomes and adjusting as necessary to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Engage in diverse leadership responsibilities, including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, performance management, scheduling, attendance, and time off administration.
  • Manage client expectations, scope creep, and scope changes through active communication.
  • Identify and resolve client, project, and team issues.
  • Communicate with clients and internal team members to ensure timely flow of information, actions, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
  • Ensure quality, safety, legislation, and industry standards are met or exceeded.
  • Foster a high-performance environment, mentoring and supporting the development of self and project team members.
  • Will travel to sites as required.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Geomatics Engineering Technology or B.Sc. in Geomatics.
  • Registered as a British Columbia Land Surveyor (BCLS).
  • 3+ years of previous project management experience with demonstrated success in managing client expectations, scope, budget, forecast, schedule, and quality sales with new and existing clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Effective time management and strong organizational skills while working to project deadlines.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as per the Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace.
