Your Role:

As a Senior Java Developer at T-Net British Columbia, you will leverage cutting-edge technologies to develop products that form the backbone of our services, utilized by thousands of users worldwide to address real-world business challenges. You will engage with complex issues related to scalability and high availability within a distributed system architecture. Our team is dedicated to advancing Java technology, and you will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most talented developers in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to design software implementations that meet business needs.
  • Engage with product owners to generate and refine user stories.
  • Contribute as part of an agile development team to produce high-quality code for enterprise services.
  • Ensure code is rigorously tested and optimized for scalability.
  • Develop automation for deployment and continuous delivery.
  • Document APIs, code, and design specifications.
  • Monitor and support the operation of production systems.
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives with colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in distributed software development at scale.
  • Proficient in agile development methodologies.
  • Strong background in multi-threaded programming.
  • Deep understanding of design patterns and their advantages.
  • Familiarity with network protocols such as HTTP, TLS, and TCP.
  • Experience with service-oriented architecture.
  • Knowledge of web services technologies including REST and JSON.
  • Experience with continuous integration systems.
  • Familiarity with dependency injection and mocking techniques.
