Our skilled and cooperative BC Geomatics team is in search of a proficient British Columbia Land Surveyor (BCLS) to take on the role of Project Manager. The main focus of this position is to ensure exceptional client service while enhancing the work atmosphere within the GeoVerra Team. This role significantly influences both external clients and internal colleagues, necessitating a strong alignment with the Company's Vision, Mission, and Values through tangible actions and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Guide project teams to deliver high-quality results within established timelines and budgets.
  2. Assess project and team performance, predict project outcomes, and make necessary adjustments to ensure successful results.
  3. Engage in various leadership duties, including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, performance management, scheduling, and overseeing attendance.
  4. Manage client expectations, scope changes, and project adjustments through proactive communication.
  5. Identify and address issues related to clients, projects, or team dynamics.
  6. Facilitate effective communication with clients and internal team members to ensure timely information flow, deliverables, timelines, and budget adherence.
  7. Ensure compliance with quality, safety, legislation, and industry standards.
  8. Foster a high-performance environment, mentoring and supporting the development of yourself and project team members.
  9. Be willing and able to travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Diploma or Degree in Geomatics Engineering Technology or a B.Sc. in Geomatics.
  2. Registered as a British Columbia Land Surveyor (BCLS).
  3. A minimum of 3 years of project management experience with a proven track record in managing client expectations, scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
  4. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Ability to work independently.
  6. Strong time management and organizational skills, particularly in meeting project deadlines.
  7. Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as per industry standards.
