Position Overview:

The BC Geomatics team is seeking a skilled British Columbia Land Surveyor (BCLS) to take on the role of Project Manager. This position is centered around delivering exceptional client service while fostering a positive work culture within the GeoVerra Team. Your influence will extend to both external clients and internal colleagues, necessitating a strong alignment with the Company's Vision, Mission, and Values.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead project teams to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery of high-quality work.
  2. Monitor and assess project and team performance, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve successful outcomes.
  3. Engage in various leadership tasks, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and scheduling.
  4. Manage client expectations and address any scope changes through proactive communication.
  5. Identify and resolve issues related to clients, projects, or team dynamics.
  6. Facilitate effective communication with clients and team members to ensure a smooth flow of information, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
  7. Ensure compliance with quality, safety, legislative, and industry standards.
  8. Promote a high-performance environment by mentoring and supporting the development of team members.
  9. Be prepared to travel to project sites as necessary.

Qualifications:

  1. Degree or Diploma in Geomatics Engineering Technology or a related field.
  2. Registered as a British Columbia Land Surveyor (BCLS).
  3. A minimum of 3 years of project management experience with a proven track record in managing client expectations, scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  6. Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet project deadlines.
  7. Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as per industry standards.
