Department Manager, Softgoods, Oshawa Centre

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Sales Manager to lead our Softgoods department at our Oshawa location. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing and coaching a high-performing team, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities- Business Development: Develop and execute a daily sales plan to drive sales growth and meet or exceed sales targets.
- Team Leadership: Coach, develop, and motivate a high-performing team to achieve sales goals and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Customer Experience: Ensure a positive and engaging customer experience through effective communication, product knowledge, and sales skills.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking merchandise to meet sales demands.
- Visual Merchandising: Maintain a visually appealing store environment through effective visual merchandising and display techniques.
- Operations: Ensure seamless store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and loss prevention.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of retail sales management experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Skills: Proven sales and leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business or a related field an asset.
