Softgoods Department Leader

Key Responsibilities
- As the Softgoods Department Manager, you will embody a strong enthusiasm for sports and maintain an active lifestyle.
- Upholding visual merchandising standards for apparel and footwear will be your primary focus.
- You will exhibit a proactive and engaged demeanor when interacting with both customers and team members, while also being accountable for mentoring and nurturing your staff.
- As a representative and leader of the customer experience, you will strive to cultivate relationships with clients and provide guidance and support to your team to ensure a consistent approach.
- Guide and enhance your department team by establishing clear expectations, fostering open communication, and offering continuous coaching and constructive feedback.
- Develop and oversee a daily sales strategy and operational plan for the department.
- Create personalized development plans for full-time employees, providing necessary support and coaching to address any performance challenges.
- Effectively communicate skills through structured meetings, coaching sessions, and team huddles.
- Foster and maintain a positive and motivating work atmosphere for all staff members.
Qualifications
- Business Acumen – possess a customer-centric approach and the ability to strategize, implement, and drive sales initiatives.
- Leadership Skills – lead by example with a genuine passion for coaching, developing, and motivating your team.
- Brand and Culture Advocate – take pride in our brand and embody the values we represent.
- If you are an experienced retail manager with a commitment to people, a passion for the industry, and a focus on delivering an outstanding customer experience, this role is designed for you.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail setting, ideally in a supervisory capacity.
- A proven history of driving business growth and delivering exceptional customer service.
- An interest in or involvement with sports or the sporting goods sector is considered an asset.
