About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Auto Claims Specialist to join our team at Intact. As a key member of our claims team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our claims professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert knowledge and guidance on complex auto claims, including liability determination, investigation, and settlement negotiation.
- Manage highly sensitive and complex escalations, including complaints and regulatory involvement.
- Coach and advise key stakeholders on claims-related matters.
- Participate in large projects and process improvements, with limited oversight from management.
- Facilitate the integration of new processes within current operations.
- Recommend changes to documentation to improve efficiency.
- Review and audit auto claims files to ensure compliance with established guidelines and processes.
Requirements
- Strong technical skills in automobile claims, with experience in dealing with legal and regulatory policy interpretation and implementation.
- Proven ability to influence, advise, and coach others to deliver results.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Effective coordination and negotiation skills.
- Workforce management experience in a contact center environment is an asset.
- University degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role.
