Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our culinary team at Tigh Na Mara Seaside Spa Resort & Conference Centre.

Job Summary:

The Executive Chef will be responsible for leading our kitchen team in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate and control food costs, maintain records of food consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Develop and implement new recipes, menus, and cooking techniques to enhance the dining experience.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, including specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
  • Plan and execute menus, ensuring quality standards are met and food allergies are accommodated.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, manage inventory, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and delicious dishes, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling, ensuring adherence to safe food handling practices.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe and healthy working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Safe Food Handling certificate.
  • Leadership, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, organized, reliability, and team player.
