Job Title: Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Tigh Na Mara Seaside Spa Resort & Conference Centre.

Job Summary:

The Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the planning, preparation, and presentation of food and beverages in our resort's restaurants and bars. This is a key role that requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food and beverage service.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and storage.
  • Monitor food costs, labor costs, and maintain accurate records.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and execute special events and functions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Recruit, train, and develop kitchen staff to achieve high performance standards.
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef to achieve business objectives and improve customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Safe Food Handling certificate.
