Job Title: Executive Sous Chef

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Sous Chef to join our team at Breezy Corners. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in all aspects of food preparation and presentation.

Job Summary:

  • The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience as a sous chef or executive sous chef in a high-volume restaurant or catering environment.
  • You will work closely with the Executive Chef to develop menus, manage inventory, and oversee kitchen operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Analyze operating costs and other data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Create new recipes and menu items that meet quality standards.
  • Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets.
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and safe food preparation.
  • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Working Conditions:

  • Physically demanding with long periods of standing and walking.
  • Attention to detail is crucial in ensuring high-quality food preparation.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience as a sous chef or executive sous chef in a high-volume restaurant or catering environment.
  • Degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
