About the Office of Alumni RelationsThe Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) serves over 115,000 alumni, providing them with top-quality experiences that foster lifelong connections with the university and each other.
Our team is responsible for expanding alumni engagement efforts, promoting MRU's brand story, and building relationships with faculty, staff, and community partners.
About the RoleWe seek a visionary leader to drive meaningful alumni engagement, promote MRU's brand, and build strong relationships with our largest and most important community: our alumni.
This role requires exceptional judgment, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Promote MRU's brand story with alumni audiences through new and creative channels
- Develop shared projects that benefit various audiences, including alumni
- Assess current alumni programs and identify new initiatives to connect alumni back to MRU
- Build collegial relationships with MRU faculty and leaders to capitalize on these connections
- Join the division's leadership team in external relations work, participating in Calgary events and brokering community partnerships
