Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Counsellor to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our team, you will provide treatment services to individuals, couples, or families affected by addiction, alcohol, and drug use.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct intake and assessment, counselling, referrals, case management, educational sessions, and development of treatment plans.
  • Provide continuing care services for concerns related to addiction, alcohol, and drug use.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a consistent approach to client-centred care.
  • Develop and facilitate educational material and services, and organize community activities.
Requirements
  • Minimum of one year supervised counselling experience from a family systems perspective, with a Diploma in Applied Counselling or a Bachelor's degree in the Social Sciences.
  • Experience working from a client-centred perspective, with training and/or experience in Motivational Interviewing techniques.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of the addictions and mental health fields, with the ability to work within a complex system of services.
