  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and referrals.
  • Develop and facilitate educational programs, workshops, and support groups to promote healthy coping mechanisms and community engagement.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices, research, and industry trends.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, providing feedback and suggestions to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Counselling, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervised experience in addiction counselling, preferably in a clinical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of addiction theories, assessment tools, and evidence-based interventions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (for travel to community locations, as required).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including Indigenous communities and individuals with complex needs.
  • Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing techniques and other evidence-based approaches.
  • Training in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and de-escalation techniques.
  • Fluency in multiple languages, including English, French, and Indigenous languages (e.g., Ojibwe, Cree).
