We are excited to announce that Aspire Bakeries, a leading food manufacturing company, is seeking a highly skilled FSQA Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality in our bakery operations.

The FSQA Supervisor will be responsible for supervising a team of FSQA Technicians and implementing food safety and quality procedures that meet all regulatory, customer, and company requirements. This includes:

  • Compliance with Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards, including BRC and SQF
  • Supporting the HARPC Team in the implementation of an effective Food Safety plan focused on the elimination of biological, chemical, physical, and economically motivated hazards from our foods
  • Documentation, control, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS), including procedures, records, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
  • Meeting and exceeding customer requirements
  • Reducing customer/consumer complaints for foods manufactured on site using root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive measures
  • Day-to-day management of the Tech 3, FSQAs, including training and development of team members and clear identification of objectives to meet the bakery's needs
  • Reporting food safety and quality issues, corrective actions, and preventive measures to the Manager, FSQA
  • Coaching, development, and performance evaluations of all Tech 3, FSQAs
  • Ensuring completion of Quality Assurance Procedures Annual review by all FSQA Technologists
  • Maintaining required hygiene, safety, and quality standards on the production floor

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science Degree or relevant post-secondary science-related courses, training in HACCP, and experience in food industry manufacturing or quality assurance, including supervisory experience. They will also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a basic understanding of microbiology.
