Position Summary:
The FSQA Supervisor plays a crucial role in safeguarding food quality by overseeing FSQA Technicians to ensure the effective execution of food safety and quality protocols, while adhering to all regulatory, customer, and Aspire Bakeries standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring compliance with Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards.
  • Supporting the HARPC Team in establishing a robust Food Safety plan aimed at eliminating biological, chemical, physical, and economically motivated hazards.
  • Managing documentation, control, and upkeep of the Quality Management System (QMS), which encompasses procedures, records, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
  • Implementing strategies to minimize customer and consumer complaints related to products manufactured on-site through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Overseeing the daily operations of the Tech 3, FSQAs, including their training, development, and clear objective setting to fulfill bakery requirements.
  • Reporting food safety and quality concerns, along with corrective actions and preventive measures, to the Manager, FSQA.
  • Conducting coaching, development, and performance evaluations for all Tech 3, FSQAs.
  • Ensuring the completion of annual Quality Assurance Procedures reviews by all FSQA Technologists.
  • Assisting in the investigation and resolution of finished products placed on hold due to quality issues.
  • Maintaining the necessary hygiene, safety, and quality standards on the production floor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree or relevant post-secondary education in a science-related field.
- Training in HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points).
- Familiarity with a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standard such as BRC or SQF.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in food industry manufacturing or quality, including supervisory roles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of quality management and food safety systems.
Shift:
Day shift, 12-hour continental.
