About the Role:

Paladin Security is seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Professional, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors in various healthcare facilities across Calgary and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide access control and monitor restricted areas of the facility.
  • Respond to incidents and alarms, and conduct thorough investigations.
  • Monitor patient safety and document incidents as required.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to provide support and empathy to patients and visitors.
  • Conduct regular patrols to identify and mitigate potential security risks.

Requirements:

  • Valid AB Security license or willingness to obtain one prior to commencing work.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent de-escalation techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform duties, including walking up to 20km/shift and pushing/pulling 30-pound doors.
  • Availability to work overnight shifts on weekends.
