About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Security Officer to join our team at Paladin Security. As a Healthcare Security Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff at our healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Access Control: Provide secure access to authorized personnel and visitors, while maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive areas.
  • Incident Response: Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, including alarms, emergency calls, and security breaches.
  • Patient Safety: Monitor patient safety and well-being, documenting and reporting any incidents or concerns.
  • Patrols and Inspections: Conduct regular patrols and inspections of the facility to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with healthcare staff, visitors, and patients to ensure a safe and secure environment.
Requirements
  • Security License: Hold a valid AB Security license or be willing to obtain one prior to commencing work with Paladin Security.
  • Availability: Available to work overnight shifts on weekends.
  • Physical Demands: Able to perform all physical aspects of the job, including walking up to 20km/shift, walking up/down stairs, and pushing/pulling 30-pound doors.
  • Communication Skills: Possess strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and proven de-escalation skills.
