Certified Field Trainer (CFT)

Position Summary:

The Certified Field Trainer will conduct on-the-job training and provide peer support for new Pest Specialist hires, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field Training: Conduct on-the-job training with new hires during their first 6 weeks, ensuring completion of weekly Field Training Checklists.
  • Peer Support: Conduct weekly check-ins and monthly meet-ups with new hires during their first year, completing associated documentation for records.
  • Training Certification: Successfully complete the Rentokil NA Field Training Certification Program, with biannual recertification.

Additional Job Duties:

As Certified Field Trainer (Trainee's Weeks 1-6):

  • Conduct ride-along for job candidates during the interview process.
  • Arrive on time and prepared for training.
  • Effectively train skills and provide ample feedback in a timely manner.
  • Weekly communication with Trainee's Manager.
  • Weekly evaluation and progress sign-off for Field Training Checklists.

As Peer Support (Trainee's Week 6 – 1 Year):

  • Develop a solid working relationship with the Trainee.
  • Be available by phone or text to answer questions from the Trainee.
  • Help shape expectations for the Trainee as they go through the different phases of training and onboarding.
  • Help them make a successful transition from Trainee to productive employee.
  • Communicate any concerns or issues to the Trainee's Manager.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

The applicant must have the following qualifications:

  • At least 1 year with Rentokil North America as a Pest Specialist.
  • Fully-trained according to the Rentokil NA Career Advancement Program (Career Level 4 or 5).
  • Licensed with the appropriate state/province applicator license and categories.
  • Favorable ratings from the most recent Annual Performance Review.
  • Conducts themselves in a professional manner.
