About the RoleWe are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Strategic Governance Specialist. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping our governance framework and ensuring its effectiveness across multiple jurisdictions and businesses.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing strategic input into business decisions as a trusted advisor.
- Making recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives based on an in-depth understanding of the business/group.
- Acting as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies.
- May network with industry contacts to gain competitive insights and best practices.
- Acts as a trusted advisor on governance matters.
- Influences and negotiates to achieve business objectives.
- Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
- Leads or assists in the execution of oversight/governance activities.
- Develops the business case by identifying needs, analyzing potential options, and assessing expected return on investment.
- Recommends business priorities, advises on resource requirements, and develops a roadmap for strategic execution.
- Leads and integrates the execution of oversight/governance activities and is the primary contact across multiple jurisdictions and/or businesses.
- Makes risk management recommendations to senior leaders based on an in-depth understanding of the business/group.
- Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.
- Acts as the prime subject matter expert for internal/external stakeholders.
