About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Operations Manager to join our team at Sukhi's Hill Top Farm. As a key member of our agricultural team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our farm, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality crops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Crop Planning and Management
    • Develop and implement crop rotation plans to optimize soil health and crop yields
    • Monitor and control crop growth, ensuring timely harvesting and minimal waste
  • Team Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the work of farm workers and harvesting laborers
    • Provide guidance and training to ensure team members are equipped to perform their duties effectively
  • Farm Maintenance and Equipment
    • Oversee the maintenance and repair of farm equipment and machinery
    • Ensure all equipment is in good working order and properly maintained
  • Quality Control and Record Keeping
    • Monitor and maintain quality control records for all crops
    • Ensure accurate and timely record keeping for crop production and farm operations
  • Health and Safety
    • Develop and implement health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or concerns
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Post-secondary education in agriculture or a related field
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in farm operations or a related field
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
    • Knowledge of crop production and farm operations
Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding role that requires working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate must be able to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and be able to lift and move heavy objects as required.
