About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Operations Manager to join our team at Sukhi's Hill Top Farm. As a key member of our farm operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our farm, ensuring the efficient and effective production of high-quality crops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and Coordinate Crop Production: Develop and implement plans to prioritize crop growth and development, taking into account factors such as water saturation, light, and temperature.
  • Supervise Farm Workers: Coordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting laborers, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain Quality Control: Ensure that farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed, and maintain quality control and production records.
  • Operate and Maintain Farm Machinery: Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, ensuring that they are in good working condition.
  • Perform General Farm Duties: Perform general farm duties, including weeding, greenhouse cleaning, and harvesting seedlings.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but relevant experience is an asset.
  • Work Setting: The ideal candidate will have experience working in a rural area.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and is physically demanding.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
