Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Kwality Sweets & Restaurant. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure efficient food preparation and service
  • Food Quality and Safety
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Inventory and Record-Keeping
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
    • Prepare food order summaries for the chef
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that customers receive a positive dining experience
Work Environment

The Food Service Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to stand for extended periods, walk, and perform physically demanding tasks.

Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
    • Ability to train and supervise staff
Working Conditions

The Food Service Supervisor will work 40 hours per week in a permanent position with a work language of English.
