About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Shareholder Services Relationship Manager to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada.

Job Summary

This is a key leadership role that involves managing and maintaining relationships with clients within Shareholder Services (SHS). You will be responsible for providing exceptional service, contributing to the business goal of achieving a service score of 4 or higher in Service Level reviews and Client Surveys.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with primary contacts within assigned client organizations on behalf of Shareholder Services, ensuring effective issue resolution and contributing to client retention.
  2. Act as the exclusive SHS resource for Clients and their respective Client Managers, resolving complex client issues through effective communication and escalation.
  3. Ensure that the Shareholder Services day-to-day operational model aligns with client objectives by participating in regular client meetings and internal client meetings.
  4. Develop a comprehensive understanding of clients' businesses to ensure seamless interactions between SHS and client operations.
  5. Manage all Shareholder Services communications with clients and internal customers, identifying opportunities for improvement in internal/client operations.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education plus 2+ years' work experience in the investment industry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent client management and service skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of internal Shareholder services processes and procedures.
  • Understanding of risk assessment related SHS business and industry standards.
  • Solid understanding of Risk Management & Compliance requirements relating to KYC & AML.
