Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Optician to join our team at LensCrafters. As a key member of our optical team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers receive the best possible eye care experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and engage with customers, setting clear expectations and providing personalized service
  • Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Act as a leader in optical acumen, providing expert advice and guidance to customers and colleagues
  • Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear, and ensure finished products meet standards and customer needs
  • Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions, utilizing technical skills and knowledge
  • Utilize technology effectively, despite time pressure and customer volume, to provide exceptional product knowledge and use of appropriate tools
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and exceeding expectations
  • Manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks and competing priorities to achieve exceptional results on brand KPIs and competencies
  • Maintain a clean, attractive, and organized store appearance, adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • State licensure
  • Optical dispensing experience
  • Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and team building
  • Knowledge of current store merchandise
  • Strong basic math skills
  • Awareness of current fashion trends
  • Selling skills, including the ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet
  • Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators
  • Embracing new technology and change
