Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Optical Professional to join our team at LensCrafters in Orleans, ON. As a Licensed Optician, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers receive the best possible eye care experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and engage with customers, setting clear expectations and providing personalized service
- Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Act as a leader in optical acumen, providing expert advice and guidance to customers and colleagues
- Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear to meet customer needs and standards
- Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions, providing support and guidance as needed
- Utilize technology effectively, managing time and prioritizing tasks to meet customer volume and expectations
- Proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and exceeding expectations
- Multi-task and prioritize tasks, managing time and resources to achieve exceptional results
- Maintain a clean and organized store appearance, adhering to company standards and policies
- Report safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment
Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- State Licensure as an Optician
- Optical dispensing experience
- Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and team building
- Knowledge of current store merchandise and fashion trends
- Basic math skills and ability to use technology, including POS systems and calculators
- Ability to adapt to new technology and change
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous customer service and retail experience
