**Job Responsibilities**

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, building relationships with guests and being approachable and knowledgeable about our offerings.
  • Display natural showmanship, have great communication skills, and an eye for detail in maintaining all Freehand standards.
  • Communicate beverage descriptions and modifications with team members to ensure guests receive their requested beverage.
  • Be a pro at first impressions, welcoming each guest warmly and with enthusiasm.
  • Aware of surroundings and offer a helping hand to all guests whenever needed.
  • Enthusiastic about our offerings and share menu knowledge to make best recommendations.
  • Strong working knowledge of cocktails, wine, and beer and love sharing fun facts about our offerings.
  • Value accuracy and organization when it comes to maintaining guest tabs, ordering food, and pre-setting guests up before food arrives.
  • Go above and beyond for special requests or celebrations and take food preferences and guest allergies seriously.
  • Team player and respectfully communicate with all other staff and managers to ensure a smooth service.
  • Move around the restaurant with focused urgency.
  • Take ownership of the bar and check and maintain beer keg and liquor levels, take inventory, and assist manager with inventory ordering.

**Requirements**

Qualifications
  • Provincial Liquor certification
  • Proven experience as a bartender for at least 6 months
  • Enrolled or completed a Hospitality, Food & Beverage, and/or Special Events Program is an asset
  • Wine, beer, and cocktail knowledge is required.
  • WSET preferred but not required
  • Passion for food, beverage, and providing excellent customer service
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and able to lift and move beer kegs, liquor, and wine boxes
  • Full availability
