About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at SUSHI JET ASIAN CUISINE. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and present financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting and Auditing: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and perform regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, and administer benefits programs.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Analyze financial data and prepare reports to inform business decisions.
Requirements
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Skills: Proficient in MS Excel, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 30 to 35 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, with attention to detail, and under tight deadlines.
