Senior Pursuit Specialist

At HDR, we're seeking a highly organized and results-driven Pursuit Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our pursuit team, you will be responsible for leading pursuits from initiation through qualifications, proposal, interview, and selection phases. You will work closely with business development and marketing leadership, market sector leadership, principals, managing principals, and other leaders across North America.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead pursuits from initiation to selection phases, including all submittals.
- Manage large pursuit teams and high-pressure deadlines with diligence.
- Understand the required experience, knowledge, and project types for the program.
- Work directly with project managers, marketers, and business developers, and coordinate with subconsultants and subject matter experts.
- Evaluate content, both technical and non-technical, and edit proposal sections.
- Complete government forms, client questionnaires, and qualifying statements.
- Gather information on past project experience and develop personnel resumes.
- Conduct market sector research, identifying trends, growth areas, market changes, and competitor analysis.
- Assist with capture planning.
- Maintain accurate pursuit status reports in CRM systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Deep knowledge of the A/E/C industry's standard approach to procurement of professional services.
- Ability and desire to travel and engage with others in-person.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign.
- Demonstrated self-starter with a history of completing projects with limited oversight.
